Well, we’ve done it. We’ve demoed (is that a real word!?!?) the worst part of the airstream. After a day of raining mouse poop, disgusting insulation, and some sore backs (on my husband’s part), Brandon is smiling and satisfied with our progress so far. What you don’t see in any of our pictures is yours truly, as I was the designated photographer throughout the day. I documented all of the parts of the process. Excited to share it with you!

Brandon started out with the refrigerator area and stove. Took much longer than expected. Those suckers were STUCK.

Mouth coverings were necessary. Real gross.
Moving onto the sink!
When in doubt, whack it with a hammer!

Next step: Bed frames.

Got some help from our used-to-be foster daughter who visited us this weekend!
First time using a hammer.
Lessons in using a drill
Brandon’s Uncle Dave, helping us out.

Clearly we were busy, as I missed a few demo steps. Brandon and Dave knocked down bathroom walls and shower heads in no time.

Ditched the tub!
The metal pieces on the right side are being saved to help us frame out walls later!

The end of the day photo above! This was a quick post today. Tomorrow, Brandon hopes to head back and tackle taking down the walls. We’ve been doing some research on saving the aluminum walls, as other people have been successful in using bleach products to clean the wallpaper.

We also have a plan for organization of removing the walls, since we are going to try and save them, which I will share as well!

Much love,

Lauren
