Our car search was exhausting. We did our research, thoroughly, and then some. Okay, let’s be honest here. Brandon did the research. I picked out based on appearance. Ha! I had my heart set on a Jeep Grand Cherokee for a while, newer body style.

We did have some pretty strict power needs. A V8 engine was a must, as they can tow up to 7,200 pounds. Being mobile, this power was going to be necessary. We estimate that our trailer won’t weigh more than 5,500 pounds. A V6 engine won’t have enough power. By eliminating all V6 engines, our options decreased dramatically.

Biggest problem? Everyone and their brother and cousin were looking for Jeep Grand Cherokees. They were snatched up SO fast. We went to see a few. Some of them had obvious water damage that “they never noticed before,” and some were just too expensive for us. Brandon and I went on a quick trip to Florida. When we returned, Brandon went right to check out a car in Delaware. Luckily, there was a two hour drive AND a car coming home, so it was worth it! We bought a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overlander with a V8 engine. Anddd it’s really pretty! Ha!

We are super excited about our new wheels!

Much love,

Lauren
